Had a fin fishing trip with Cpt Rich. He did a good job at keeping all 4 of us baited up and in the water. unfortunately the fish werent realky biting, we only had 6 keepers, but thats just how fishing goes sometimes. the fot did mive us around 4 or 5 times trying to find the right spot, so he kept trying. fun day!

Rich put us on fish first drop. Hes very easy to talk to and will answer any questions you have. We caught 9 lane snapper, i got sharked and fought the shark for 30 minutes got him to the boat, i also hooked 2 amberjacks but didnt get to see them.

Captain Johnson was an amazing captain. He is an easy going captain that let us do what we wanted, as long as it’s within regulation. Capt J. put us on fish, we caught our targets species. We were able to bring our own rod, reels and tackle on the boat. It’s a great feeling to be able to land fish with our personal gear. Captain J boat is really clean and comfortable. Had an awesome time with cpt rich. He kept us on fish all day. We caught a lot of fish and had a blast. He was super friendly, laid back and accommodating. It took us a little while to get off shore because of the waves (but the trip out was awesome- saw baby dolphins next to the boat) so he kept us fishing longer because of it! Couldn’t recommend this enough!

We fished on the Scotty J for the second time this year, it was a blast. We left with enough grouper and snapper to feed our vacation party of 12, with leftovers. Captain Rich will definitely get you on some good fish. Bring some ibuprofen, you will need it after reeling in fish ALL DAY.
