Winter is a great time to explore Clayoquot Sound and the nearshore coastal waters, where you will find Dungeness Crab and winter Chinook. Or head to a remote river and catch the winter Steelhead run.

The average temperature in Tofino hovers around 48°F at this time of year. But don't let that stop you! Put on a few layers and head out for some great Chinook Salmon fishing.

The arrival of spring means that Trout are starting to trickle into the mountain rivers. Book a fly-in charter and enjoy fishing for Rainbow, Cutthroat, and Steelhead in Tofino's pristine wilderness.

April marks the beginning of Tofino's peak fishing season. Fish offshore for Halibut, Lingcod, large Chinook, and Coho Salmon. Or head to the lakes and rivers for a chance to catch some Trout on fly.

Come make the most of fishing in Tofino! Offshore you might catch anything from Salmon, Halibut, and Lingcod to Dungeness Crab or sea-run Cutthroat. By now you can count on temperatures well above 50°F.

In June, fly fishermen can experiment in Clayoquot Sound by bucktailing for Salmon. Or head offshore for a chance to bring home fresh Halibut and Lingcod for dinner.&nbsp;

Rainbow and Cutthroat Trout are still to be had in the remote lakes and rivers. Don't miss your chance to explore the peak of Tofino's Salmon fishery while large Coho and trophy Chinook are biting.

Temperatures are in the high 50's, making August the perfect time to get out on the water. Head offshore for Halibut, Lingcod, Rockfish, and Salmon or even Albacore Tuna when the moment strikes.

Tofino continues to promise great fishing in autumn, when you can still catch everything from Salmon and Halibut to Trout. In the rivers, Steelhead are re-appearing as the last of the Tyees fade away offshore.

By now, most of the Tyees have left, but you can still enjoy fishing for feeder Chinook, Coho, and other Salmon species. The seasons for Halibut and Lingcod are coming to a close soon.

November is a great time to try your luck in Tofino's remote rivers, where you can catch Salmon, Steelhead, and Trout. Sea-run Cutthroat and Chinook are still to be found near shore, along with Crab.

For the angler who doesn't shy away from a bit of cold, Tofino still has a lot to give in December. Winter Chinook and Crab make for a delicious catch, and you won't have to compete with as many fishermen to find them.
