We had an incredible fishing trip with Captain Mike! He made sure to ask what we wanted to catch, checked in on us the day before and tailored the whole trip for us. Captain Mike knew exactly where to take us and you can tell he really knows his stuff. We ended up catching plenty of fish, including a pretty big redfish which was the cherry on top of this whole day!!

On top of that, Captain Mike went above and beyond by helping us arrange a ride back to New Orleans so we didn’t have to spend a fortune on an Uber. That kind of thoughtfulness meant a lot to us.

This was easily one of the best fishing experiences we’ve ever had. We had a blast, caught a ton of fish, and felt taken care of the entire time. Next time we’re back in town, we’ll definitely be booking with Captain Mike again—we know he’ll do right by us!

Captain Mile was amazing and a great guide. We all shared stories and laughed at jokes for the trip. There was never a dull moment. We were a group of 6 on a getaway trip, and had plenty of room on the boat. The boat was clean and orderly, Fishing was plentiful, everyone caught plenty of fish and upon return to the marina he wasted no time filleting up fish. Overall Captain Mike is definitely one of the best charter captains anywhere he makes it seem like you’re on a boat with an old friend just enjoying nature, fishing and good company. He seems eager to always catch fish and be friendly no matter what. If you are in New Orleans or Slidell, A Fishing Fool is the charter to take for some good fishing and company. 5/5 Stars

It was one of those days that you expect a tough day on the water due to windy weather conditions.  Trusting these guys who I have fished with before, we headed out.  Thought we might get into a few speckled trout but probably no reds due to the wind.  We got on a few trout, but fishing was slow Capt. Kris moved us around looking for some fish.  Finally got on some reds.  Three slots and a 30"bull (released).  I also missed a bull that just ripped line until he busted off against an underwater stump.  Turned out to be another great day on the water with Capt. Kris!  See you again next year!  Tight Lines!!

Great time had by all. Captain Mike is the man. He put on fish on a not so great day for fishing. NO problem. we caught plenty of fish, 19 trout, and 3 sheepshead. I’ve already booked my next trip with Captain Mike. Highly recommended. My wife came with for this trip. she’s not really into fishing. she had a great time, and the next trip is hers. for her birthday no less. I think she’s hooked.

We had an 8-hour trip that included great weather, fishing and above all making priceless memories with my two youngest grandsons. This was my first time fishing with Captain Mike, he proved to be very skillful, professional and passionate about everyone catching fish. He would move us around from one spot to another predicting where the fish were as per time of day. I am going to book all my family fishing trip though Captain Mike and suggest you do also. Thanks for a wonderful experience with my grandsons that they will remember always.
