  Terrific trout trip.

  4 Hour Trip – Sunset & Salmon on July 20, 2026 • 4 adults

  My 15 year-old son and his friend and I had a great morning out with Captain Charlie. He was entertaining, energetic, and enthusiastic throughout. Certainly knows what he is doing as far as fishing and was very generous in explaining all the details. We caught probably 15 lake trout and one small but beautiful salmon. One lake trout went to a bald eagle, who swooped it up from the water and carried it off to its nest. The boys and I had a lot of fun, and as our not-so-productive experience last year fishing for a week without a guide can attest, having an expert leading the way—especially on this lake, which can be tricky—makes all the difference.

  Captain Charlie was awesome! I had my two boys (7 & 4) and he explained everything to them and kept their attention on what they needed to do. The weather conditions were not optimal for catching a lot of fish, but we managed to haul in 3 decent sized fish. Memorable catches for my boys! If you want to find someone who makes fishing fun, go with Captain Charlie & Bucks Bass and Beyond!

  I had settled into acceptance not much was going to bite… Warm day, no wind, afternoon trip because my kids wont wake up early. Boy was I wrong. Charlie has the right equipment and experience on the lake to make any outing an eventful one. We had a ton of catches and bites, the kids had a great time and we took home several days worth of dinner. Great experience for them and me.

  captain charlie and oakley were an absolute delight to fish with. he was knowledgeable, friendly, and just fun to hang around with! we all caught fish and he was just as excited a we were! i took my father any my son out and we just had the best time. good trip, good communication. highly, highly recommended!
