We traveled to the Clearwater area from NC because our son wanted to fish in the Gulf of Mexico for his 13th birthday. We ended up having to do a nearshore trip due to it being too windy while we were there, but it still ended up being a great time! Jason was extremely knowledgeable about everything-the fish, the water, the vegetation, and more. He was patient and helped us try to unlearn some bad fishing habits we’d picked up. 😉 We were very pleased with the fish we caught and would highly recommend his services to anyone. He also gave us some great tips for local eats in the area. We look forward to planning another trip with him the next time we are in the area!

We found this fishing charter online and we were impressed with the great reviews. Now we understand why!! Captain Jason is one of the best fishing guides we have ever met. He wants to ensure you have a good time and catch fish! Jason’s easy going and engaging personality was refreshing along with his 23 years of fishing experience and knowledge of the area. He worked hard to make it an enjoyable experience for us and was kept busy constantly baiting our hooks as we caught a ton of fish! He spent almost 2 hours cleaning all of the fish we caught and was still smiling! He gave us recommendations for a local restaurant to have some of our fish cooked for dinner and it was delicious! We will definitely book a future fishing charter with Neptune and Captain Jason. Plus we want to try his homemade smoked fish dip!!

My son and I booked the 4 hour afternoon trip hoping to land a few fish. We got active from the very first line drop and stayed active the entire time! We caught 8 different fish species and made lasting memories together we won’t soon forget! Captain Jason is incredible and doesn’t hesitate to cater your trip to your wishes, and makes sure you are well taken care of. He goes the extra mile to make sure you are having fun and teaches you about the fish in terms of appearance and their habits. He even made sure we knew of restaurants in the area that would cook our catch, and suggested fun things to do in town while on our vacation. Can’t wait to book again and tell everybody to do the same!

My son-in-law and I went out with Captain Jason for a 6 hour tour.  He took us to several locations and there were instant fish at all locations.  We even hooked a nice sized cobia (but too small to keep).  Lots of good, rod bending fights.  We stopped on the way in at the high bridge to try for sheepshead but they just weren’t having it.  I think too many boats go through there.  In the end, Captain Jason cleaned the giant mound of fish we had caught.  We will be eating fish for a month.  Captain Jason has over 40 years on the gulf and bay; knows his stuff.

We spent a full afternoon fishing with Captain Jason and had the best time.  The very first stop we started catching fish the second we dropped in the lines!  He was friendly and obviously loves his job because he made the trip a a lot of fun!  We had two teenagers and Jason guided them how to hook the bites every time!  We brought back so much fish.  He even recommended a great place for dinner that cooked some of our fish for us.  Definitely a great experience we will do again with Neptune Fishing Charters!
