Very good day on the water.
Half Day Trip on September 25, 2026 • 2 adults
John was on time and ready to go. Fishing started out a bit slow, but he shifted gears using his knowledge of the local waters. He got into fish and the action was consistent. Caught a variety of fish in decent numbers. Snook, Red Drum, Speckled Trout and a few pesky Hard Head Catfish. John had good spinning gear and plenty of it. All rigged in advance. Fished live bait (shrimp and croaker) and then we shifted to artificials for awhile then back to live. He was prepared for whatever method was working. Got back to the dock and he quickly and efficiently filleted some Speckleds and I had them prepared that evening at a local restaurant. Strongly recommend John. Prepared, helpful, equipped, knowledgeable.

Had a great fishing trip and a great time, we caught the limit on trout and some good big drums in no time. Captain John Martinez was amazing he was very helpful and very patient he got us on fish very quickly. I would recommend.

Rough day on the water but he still got us on fish.

Although the conditions were not good he was able to find trophy fish and had the right gear so we never felt we needed anything more. His boat was clean and he was prepared with snacks and drinks. It was overall a great day on the water!
