Gabriel and Jose were awesome!! We met early on the beach via water taxi for a half day of Inshore Fishing for the elusive Rooster Fish. Gabriel and his mate put us on the fish within the 1st 1/2 hour of the trip! All 4 of us caught Rooster Fish.
We caught some Jack’s as well. We got to see the beautiful view of Playa Hurradura from the boat and even saw a couple Sea Turtles.
As an avid fisherwoman and man we were very happy with the trip.

We got some amazing catches! Gabriel and Jose made it possible for us to catch TWO Roosterfish AND a Needlefish. We also caught a Trigger Fish, and a Snapper (we had the Snapper prepared by a local restaurant which was super tasty)! We ALMOST caught a White Fin Shark but it got away, and same with the Barracuda! Gabriel provided us with snacks and drinks throughout the excursion I would highly recommend Gabriel and his crew for your fishing excursion in Jaco!

I have had a dream for more than thirty years to come to Costa Rica and catch a Rooster fish. I have been fishing for more than fifty five years,and have fished all over the world, north to south,east to west and have caught from Marlin to sardines. The last fish on my bucket list was a Rooster.
I brought my wife, my sister who is also fishing crazy as well as my brother inlaw with on this trip. I booked with Gabriel hoping for that magic to happen. We were picked up at 7.0am and went out for a day of inshore fishing specifically targeting Roosters. Less than an hour into the trip, my first ever Rooster was landed. We went on to land a total of three Roosters for the trip.
Gabriel and the crew were absolute professionals in all aspects, the live bait was of the best quality as well as the boat and tackle. We were the only ones to catch on the day and landed three fish for three bites. Goes to prove how good the guys are.
I don’t easily recommend anybody for any reason, however I absolutely recommend Gabriel to anyone who has a dream like I had.

I had an absolutely thrilling experience booking our charter with Captain Gabriel and First Mate Jose! We were determined not to leave Costa Rica without going deep sea fishing, and let me tell you—it was worth every single penny! Our charter was loaded with snacks and refreshing beverages, and they even surprised us with a fresh pineapple!

We hooked some incredible yellowfin tuna, which they expertly filleted and packed for us in ziplock bags—talk about a treat! The fish was the most delicious I’ve ever tasted, and we couldn’t have asked for better weather to enjoy it all. This adventure is an absolute must-do! Both the captain and first mate are incredibly knowledgeable, making the experience even more enjoyable. I can’t wait to book them again and recommend them to everyone I know!

A hard day of fishing with not much luck.  Was not able to get a Rooster on this trip but was able to catch a few fish later in the day.  After several hours of no Rooster fish the captain suggested we switch things up and bottom fish to see if we could change our luck, and we did.  My son was able to catch a nice Rock Snapper and I caught a White tip shark, not exactly what we were trying to catch but a tight line is better than nothing at all. Of all the boats, our boat was one of a few that caught anything that day.  I would recommend this charter to anyone that wants a good experience trying to catch such an exotic fish.
