We had objectively tough conditions. We booked a near shore trip and conditions kept us from heading out so it became an inshore trip. In addition our trip was in mid december and air temps were ~12 degrees colder than the day prior. Andres was quick in evaluating spots and moving to the next spot when things weren’t working. That’s what I’d do fishing in the same situation. He made numerous runs to try to find active fish, the fish simply weren’t biting well. Despite tough conditions I dumped a nice redfish boatside, we caught a handful of gag grouper, and we caught several smaller snook, redfish, and speckled trout. The captain doesn’t control the weather or the mood of the fish. He does control his attitude, boat, and effort. Andres was a joy to talk to, came with an overabundance of bait, and worked from the second we got on the boat until we got off. I have zero apprehension about going out on the water with Andre again.

Our captain, Andres Gomez, was amazing!!!  There were 6 of us and he kept the fishing going for each one of us! 

He made sure he had our poles ready, bait secured (and fresh) and put our lines in where the fish were!  We had one hook a huge tarpon which she worked with it for over an hour- he helped her and still made sure us other 5 were fishing! 

Cannot say enough about how he hustled and helped us catch fish!  And, to top it off, he cleaned the fish and we ate our catch-truly amazing!

Despite unexpected weather pushing our nearshore trip to an inshore adventure, Captain Andreas absolutely delivered an unforgettable day! Our primary goal was to catch dinner and some big fish, and he made sure we crushed it. We reeled in some fantastic large snook, trout, and a variety of other impressive catches.
What truly set Captain Andreas apart was his incredible attentiveness. Our 10-year-old son was struggling a bit at the start, but Andreas was patient, encouraging, and made sure he got the hang of it, turning his frustration into pure excitement. The boat was spotless, and we felt completely safe and comfortable the entire time. He’s not just a great captain, he’s a fantastic guide who genuinely cares about his clients’ experience. We highly recommend Captain Andreas for an amazing fishing charter – he’ll make sure you have a blast no matter the conditions!

Well, the extreme cold front that rolled thru the area left me concerned about catching anything. But, we headed out and had a very good day! Snook, trout, flounder and redfish. Our captain put us on the fish quick and worked hard to keep us catching them. I always appreciate a guide who keeps looking, even if you have caught a few at the location, he wants to get you on a potentially even better spot. It was a very good day!

Andreas was an incredible captain and guide!  His knowledge of the area was clear as we visited several areas to keep the fish biting.  He was very personable and told us about the area and answered our questions.  Highly recommend!!!
