Visiting Puerto Rico for the first time. We had great luck using fishingbooker to connect with Captain Pepe and his first mate Manny. We had the greatest luck on the only nice day of the weekend (May 4). I’m an experienced charter captain out of Duxbury MA and seek out similar qualities to my charters. A short trip out to blue water for a 4-hour charter, resulted in plenty of mahi mahi at a time where no one was catching fish in the previous days. Upon our return, Captain Pepe nicely filleted the fish and we took a filet with his recommendation to the new reef restaurant a short walk away from the marina. We highly recommend Captain Pepe putting us on fish and knowing exactly where to go. And I recommend the mushroom sauce over mahi fillet. An outstanding combination of great fishing and a great meal.

We came to Puerto Rico for a birthday fishing experience we only dreamed about.  Capt Pepe and Manuel did not let us down.  From being super down to earth to an extremely ready professional fishing team.  My wife’s dream was to catch a Dorado and the Capt did everything in his power to make it happen and we did.  He not only cleaned the fish and packaged what we asked for but made a call to a local restaurant owner and set us up with the best location to enjoy our fresh catch.  We will be back and I will never have to look for another Capt in Puerto Rico again!!

Captain Pete and Matty were excellent and fun leaders of this trip. Really enjoyed the explanations of why we were fishing where we were, the kind of bait we used, how fish behave… they are smart, funny and were really committed to us having a great time! Mission Accomplished! We did catch 4 huge mahi while all the other boats in the area reported no catches. Captain Pete cleaned our fish exquisitely too…perfect for the ceviche we are now enjoying. We feel very blessed to have these fishing gurus as our guides, and will definitely only book with them the next time we come to Puerto Rico.

Captain Pepe and Manny were the best! He explained everything we needed to know in great detail, handled the boat excellently, manny was always there rebaiting the lines and keeping everything going smoothly.  We caught a nice size mahi-mahi which Pepe cleaned perfectly (no bones!) and which ended up being an excellent main course that night for 8 people! We also had - a few more hits which, while they got away, added to the whole experience.  After all, it’s called “fishing” not “catching”.  When we return, we’ll def be heading back out with Blue Water!  Highly recommend!

What an amazing trip my family and I had with Captain Pepé and First Mate Manny. It was a fast trip to the 100-1000 drop off and Manny hooked us up with premium gear and started trolling quickly. While the seas were rough our spirits were high and before we knew it we hooked up on our first fish of the day. Manny did a great job making sure the fish would not come off, and actually let you reel the fish in unlike other fishing charters! Many other fish were caught later that evening, for example, Mahi Mahi, Bonito, and last but not least, a Sail Fish! All in all, a great day on the water in San Juan, and lastly to make it better, with Captain Pepé and First Mate Manny. Complimentary drinks are included. Very fun day and we will be returning my our business when we get a chance.
