Captain James did a great job. As soon as we got offshore, the wind picked up considerably making it very difficult to fish the spots that Captain James brought us to. He worked very hard in difficult boating, circumstances to get us on some fish. We caught some mahi, which was great then we moved closer to shore and caught a couple of amberjack which were really fun Captain James filleted our mahi perfectly and we went on our way. I definitely recommend using Captain James and Apex charters.

Captain James and his wife were amazing! My boyfriend and I treated my boyfriend’s dad to a fishing trip for his birthday. It was my and my boyfriend’s first time fishing in the ocean. We just had an absolutely incredible time deep-sea fishing with Captain James! From start to finish, it was a 5-star experience. Even with two people in our group who had never been on a fishing boat before, our guide was phenomenal—patient, knowledgeable, and made everyone feel comfortable and excited. Captain James and his lovely wife/first mate were great hosts. The weather started off iffy but cleared up by noon.  He got us on fish within a couple hours and went out of his way to cover every location he thought should be productive. only downside was not being able to keep all the amberjack since they were off season. Hope to charter again with them.

We had such a great trip with the captain today! The weather conditions weren’t looking ideal so he let us adjust our trip times for optimal fishing conditions. He put us on to some good groups of Mahi, and we even brought home a few other types of fish as well. Overall just a really awesome trip, and we’re hoping to be back in the future.
