Fall cobia fishing

Cobia have been immigrating back through the Destin area. For the last few weeks we have been hooking up with a few larger sizes. Cobia is known for being one of the best eat fishing in salt water.

Red snapper season is booking quick

Looks like we are going to have another awesome red snapper season in the Destin area. The season is from the 2 week of June the the end of July. Season time frame is subject to changes by the state of Florida. Bookings are going quickly. Definitely don't wait too long to book before all of the dates are gone. The weather kept us in the bay and the captain had us on the fish in 20 minutes and then kept then coming for the remainder of the trip. thanks captin. Captain had good equipment and a clean vessel. My wife, son and I had plenty of time to relax while the Captain worked to keep the spanish coming. Vessle has pmebatly if seating and a cooler for drinks.

Captain James did a great job. As soon as we got offshore, the wind picked up considerably making it very difficult to fish the spots that Captain James brought us to. He worked very hard in difficult boating, circumstances to get us on some fish. We caught some mahi, which was great then we moved closer to shore and caught a couple of amberjack which were really fun Captain James filleted our mahi perfectly and we went on our way. I definitely recommend using Captain James and Apex charters.

While we did not catch any keepers (conditions and season were not ideal), Captain James was very responsive and aggressive at getting us to multiple spots and pivoting between bait and fishing tactics. We didn’t catch dinner or trophies, but we all caught about a dozen fish each. Lots of varieties. Lots of fun.
