We received excellent door-to-door service from Lupo. They were quickly responsive through text communications on the app regarding private van pick-up (before and after our trip). Conveniently located (about a 7 minute trip) from Reserva Conchal. And gave us a great overall experience. Our party included 2 kids (11 and 14), their parents, and grandmother, each of varying fishing experience/interest levels. The captain and first mate were helpful and patient. We only caught two fish, but they were massive Mahi Mahi, and the trip was very enjoyable. Recommend this group for all.

What can I say about this trip with Lupo Charters. Honestly, there are no words. After being burned by charters in the U.S. time and time again, we had little expectations except to hope to catch at least 1 sailfish (my husband’s dream fish that we’ve flown to the DR to try to catch once before already). Little did we know that we would catch that x11 (first hook up within 5 mins of trolling and all 11 2 hours into 3/4 day trip) and bring a yellowfin tuna on board for the perfect ride-back snack and dinner! Can’t say enough great things about Captain Carlos and first mates Daniel and Romero. They all checked on us, made sure we were comfortable, hydrated and fed the entire time. Thank you Mauricio for keeping in contact with me to organize the trip months in advance. It has been a trip of a lifetime for us and we cannot wait to comeback and fish with the crew again!

Lupo charters definitely delivered. Captain and crew are very courteous and professional and most importantly great fishermen!!! My friend and I are grateful for the experience and would highly recommend this charter to anyone. Conveniently located next to The Beach House Bar and Restaurant where they cooked what we caught. The perfect way to cap off an amazing day on the ocean.

I waited until the very last minute to book our fishing trip and should have booked it sooner.  By the time I booked, only afternoons were left.  He did tell me mornings are better, but it was not an option.  That morning they caught a lot of fish on the morning trip, but on my trip in the afternoon we did not catch any fish.  The boat was nice, they had water, beer, watermelon and pineapple, chips and the captain and first mate were very attentive.  My only suggestion or comment to others is that when I booked through the app, I thought I was paying via credit card on the app, but when I arrived to the location I was told to go, I was asked to pay with cash.  This took all of the cash I had brought with me for the whole trip and I would have probably not gone if I had known I had to pay cash.  But it was a great 4 hours on the water, we saw dolphins and got a different view of Costa Rica.  I would go back with the same crew again, but I would book ahead and go in the morning.

Our trip included 6 of us in total and we were able to catch 4 sailfish and keep 2 Mahi Mahi. We also saw hundreds of dolphins all at once who stayed with us for hours! I have never witnessed so many and could never explain how incredible it was. Our guides were great and accommodated any requests we made. The water was very choppy and a couple of our group were sea sick, so keep that in mind if you have trouble with that, but this was a very enjoyable trip.
