Captain Chandler Williams has been in the outdoor industry since he was 17. By the age of 18, he was an international guide. He has guided in Four different countries, across three different continents. He's got experience guiding in the Florida Keys and along the coastal waters of South Carolina. Capt. Chandler is an extremely well known captain in the outdoor industry. Chandler currently fishes for Under Armour as an Athlete for the brand, and is a tournament guide. He currently guides the backcountry waters from everglades to Key West. Booking a trip with Chandler will land you with one of the best Captains in this area and an experience of a lifetime. mentored by local legends. Chandler has put his time in these waters.     Stays on top of fish locations!

    Half Day Trip – late evening Tarpon • 2 adults

    Chandler guides fulltime and it shows. He knew exactly where fish would be and works through colors fast to make sure every cast counts. He gives good instructions when fish are moving to cast to the correct spot. His gear was outstanding and provides G.Loomis rods to use. Even after casting many times, there is no fatigue because the rods are so great. We only used spinning reels at our request this trip, but if I came back I would freshen up my fly-fishing to try that out with him. His boat was perfect for trip as well. Everything about the trip was high quality from rods to the drinking water! I highly recommend booking a trip.

    If your not ready to try your hand at a permit have no worries theres plenty of bonefihs and juvi tarpon around to keep the drag screaming.

    Despite the windy contdtions, There has been plenty of small to medium tarpon around giving people plenty of chances. The permit and bonefish fishing still seems to be fruitfull with plenty of shots to go around. Get in on the winter time fishing in the keys!

    This is in my opinion the best if not second best time of year to fish. Its my personal favorite time of year to fish. Loads of small tarpon around, unbelievable bonefish and permit fishing. If you are looking for a chance at a grand slam this is a great time.

What's biting with Hook 1 Charters - Key West in Key West

Reef fishing is still good but can be windy. Bonefish thins out on the flats but Permit is as good as ever. Sailfish and Tuna are caught over the reefs and backcountry fishing is excellent.
