I'm a 3rd generation fishing captain and owner-operator. I have been running trips out of Oregon Inlet, North Carolina, since 1993 and have fished all over commercial and charter. My crew and I take pride in our strong network of boats in the Oregon Inlet fleet, and we all work hard to stay on top of the best fishing option for the conditions. My crew and I have been featured on two seasons of the National Geographic channel's 'Wicked Tuna Outer Banks' hit series, where we finished 3rd place overall for the season against some tough competition like the 'Hot Tuna' and other cast members! We just wrapped filming of Wicked Tuna Outer Banks, season 6, aboard the Kahuna! We had an excellent Bluefin season, and I can't wait for everyone to watch! I can't reveal any details about the season yet!

Offshore deep sea gulfstream fishin' • 3 adultsDue to no fault of the captain or first mate, it just wasn't in the cards for us to catch tuna when we went. There were only a few charters that ended up scoring one. However the captain and first mate made sure we at least finished with fish in our cooler. After trying all day and striking out, we moved on to catch more than enough tile fish to eat for months! We appreciated his persistence and effort to try and get us a Tuna. Next time, we hope. Thanks to Reed and Justin.

Full Day Trip – Offshore • 6 adultsThe captain and mate were knowledgeable and helpful. This was the first time I have caught yellowfin tuna. Compared to other saltwater trips I have made this was the best boat and crew I have been with. All 5 people in our group caught tuna and we will use them when we go again. If you want to catch tuna take this boat.

The big crowds and busy beaches of summer are over, but there's still plenty going on on the water. The first few Bluefin are showing up offshore, while huge Red Drum swarm the sounds.

Marcy And her son were back to fishwith us this week and they wore out the mahi! Add a few tunas to it and a Blue marlin for the centerpiece! What a day those two had! Not to mention last year these two caught 30 blackfin tuna and a limit of yellowfin tuna with us!

We spent most of the morning hunting for a marlin where we caught multiple the day before but it seemed as if the water had moved up the beach so i went looking for it but only found more current and grass. After plowing through the gulf weed for a few hours we found a blue tarp and a box crate and both were loaded with nice summer MAHI!

Weve been busy this week with tournaments and charters lots of action! sail fishing has been unreal this past couple of weeks with lots of mahi to go along with them also so very nice yellowfin tuna still in The area we even tried some new spots for tilefish and were pleasantly surprised with several citations landed!

EPIC MAHI ACTION on the KAHUNA

Our august fishing is NOT disappointing so far we have seen some unreal mahi action this week with great sign s of yellowfins as well! The sailfish have moved into our arra in great numbers as well this week.
