Just went on the short 4 hr trip with 6 people couple days ago. Captain Mike was great. He was very friendly, helpful,  and knowledgeable of the area and who was catching what lately. He took us to a couple of spots to find where the sea bass were biting. He taught us rookies well. We ended up with only one keeper out of ten as the rest were too large to keep. He kept us circling that one spot where they biting till we ran out of time. He cleaned that one keeper for us perfectly. I would definitely recommend taking his charter again or to anyone who was thinking of booking one with him.

I’ve been on many fishing trips/charters everywhere from Florida all the way to Rhode Island now, and this ranks right up there as one of the best I’ve taken! Many laughs and a bunch fish caught. Can’t wait to re-book and fish with Captain Mike again! Thanks again Captain!

I had a few friends in town so we were looking to fish for stripers.  The weather was great, the boat and captain were awesome and although the fishing was slow for a spell (it happens sometimes) we were able to land 6 big stripers and had a great time.  Definitely recommend the boat and captain and would book this trip again.

I think the captain was very experienced and knowledgeable. He also seemed like a nice guy. We caught some fish and generally had a good day. I didn’t love that the captain demanded a 25% tip and was clearly not happy when i told him that i would give him his tip after our trip. He then proceeded to say “is it all there?” when i handed him his tip after the trip (i did tip him the entire 25% as demanded). I also didn’t love that we stayed the entire 7 hours in the same exact spot. If we were crushing it i would understand, but the fishing was just okay. I believe 3 keeper Tautog between the 6 of us fishing, along with a few seabass and a couple porgie. The captain did help us out by catching 2 tautog Aswell. We appreciated that.

I will say that our group was all pretty inexperienced and maybe didnt have the skill to catch a bunch of tautog. And definitely lost some of the captain’s lead.

Also, there is a 30$ parking fee at the marina. not a huge deal, but something to be aware of.

Overall, we had a fun day but think it could have been better.

Took my boyfriend and our friend out for a 4 hour trip and the captain and first mate couldn’t be more attentive. They did their very best to give us the greatest odds of catching and moved locations multiple times if they weren’t biting.
