As a kid, Captain Benny loved to peddle his bike to a nearby park with his fishing pole and a bunch of worms. He would spend the entire day there practicing casting and trying new techniques. It became a passion for him. The captain bought his first boat when he was 15 (thanks to his uncle for lending him the money – which he repaid as soon as he could). As he got older, the boats got bigger, the equipment got better, and fishing turned into a science. Captain Benny's love for the sport turned into a business in 1988 and he landed in Fairport Harbor. It continues to allow him the privilege of sharing his skills and knowledge. He loves fishing the Central Basin and hopes to promote the sport and love of the outdoors. There's nothing like spending the day on Lake Erie – The Walleye Capital of the World!

Captain Benny and first Mate Tom were amazing! Very accommodating!! The weather prevented us from going on our scheduled time so rather than cancel the trip, Captain Benny moved his schedule and we had the best conditions for fishing ever! The Walleye were plentiful and seemed larger than last year! We had a blast! Many thanks from our family!

Captain and first mate were amazing! Gear was spot on. Caught our limit of Walleye. Got a late start with the weather, but still made it back to the docks before lunch. Brought my teen kids fishing and the crew was patient. The trip was a success!

My husband and I took out two teenage boys out for a new experience and this did not disappoint. Captain Ben and Tom were masterful fishermen. They had us on the water by 6:30am and limited out by 9:30. We all had a great time. I would definitely recommend to anyone looking to have a unique and professional fishing experience.

Had to postpone do to rough seas but thought it was worth a review
8 Hour Trip – Walleye (MAX 5) on August 5, 2024 • 5 adults • 2 children
We were headed out about 17 miles, after bouncing on 2-4 foot, and growing, waves for10 miles the captain made the wise decision to postpone for better weather and safer conditions. We returned to shore and rescheduled. I offered to pay something for the effort, but the captain refused. Benny (captain) and Tom (first mate) are experienced seamen and great people, and we are looking forward to our rescheduled trip later this month.

Weather caused us to reschedule our initial trip, but Captain Benny worked with me to find another date that worked out great. Caught our limit in 2 hours! Highly recommended him and would definitely use him again in the future!
