The captain made a good call to change from the usual fishing patter because the fishing had been bad lately. He actually cared and made the effort to get the kids on fish. It was the right move and we caught several fish. The kids had a great time! The mate was very good and helped the kids a lot. He filleted the mutton snapper and the yellowtail and we ate them today. Great experience.

We had a fine day aboard Chubasco, experienced anglers and beginners.  The fish were tough at first but everyone landed a fish including a huge barracuda.  Freddie the mate worked very hard to keep lines running and land fish safely.  Cap’n Mike took us around some lovely spots.

Went out for a morning half day, picked up on time. Had a bite early and then chased birds for about an hour and a half before turning back towards home. On the way back found some more birds and had 3 Mahi hit at the same time. Caught 2, one was a monster Bull, biggest of their season according to the deck hand. After pictures and on the way in he cut the big one up for us and bagged it.
