Captain Michael, also known as Captain Big Mike, is a lifelong boating and fishing enthusiast with a deep passion for pursuing his favorite species—the incredibly vigorous striped bass (striper). Now a proud resident of Kingsland in the heart of Texas Hill Country, he brings decades of experience to the water. After a successful career in the high-tech IT and computer industry, he embraced a semi-retired lifestyle and relocated to Texas in 2020 following 30 years in Southern California. Passionate about sharing his love for fishing, Captain Big Mike enjoys meeting new people and educating others on the sport. His guiding experience spans over a decade, covering freshwater lakes across California, Nevada, and Arizona, as well as deep-sea adventures from Long Beach to Mexico in the Pacific Ocean. Whether teaching techniques or chasing stripers, hybrids, white bass, catfish, crappie, bass, he's always eager to share his expertise and enthusiasm with fellow anglers!

    Mixed bag

    Half Day Trip 1-2 People (AM) • 2 adults

    We were looking for different fish besides just Striper and Capt Mike delivered. Boat was very comfortable and up to date with all the latest fish finding gear. My son and I enjoyed the trip . One thing to note is bring, your knife if you plan to keep fish, as fish cleaning is not offered.

    Very nice fishing trip to go on. Capt Mike was real nice and very helpful. The boat was very nice and comfortable. The price is very reasonable as well. Definitely will use again.
