To say my friend and I are amateurs when it comes to saltwater fishing would be an understatement, but Captain Froggy and John managed to put us in the right place at the right time to catch some fish on a day where other boats seemed to be having a slow day. Captain Froggy definitely puts a lot of effort into making sure that people enjoy their trip. The thing is, I would have enjoyed the trip without catching as many fish as we did. The conversation on the boat was laid back and I learned a lot about saltwater fish and the Outer Banks in general. All in all it was a great trip and I highly recommend booking a trip with Captain Froggy…just don’t bring a banana. Seriously.

We had the best time in the outer banks with Captain Froggy and Johnny! If you want a great crew who just love to fish and make sure you go home with a cooler full of fish these are your guys! We had a blast, caught 5 speckled sea trout, a blue fish and a red drum. By the time we got back to the dock the fish cleaning station was closed and Johnny offered to clean and filet all the fish for us, did an amazing job - not a single bone in any of the fish!! The trout and red drum are some of the best fish we have ever tasted. To say we will back is an understatement, such a great trip! We look forward to seeing them again for years to come!!

Repeat customer of Captain Froggy and he didn’t disappoint again.  Put us on a limit of fish when other boats were returning to the dock without a single fish.  Captain Froggy is the type of guy you just want to hang around.  He truly loves what he does and he’s good at it.  Living on the Banks all his life he knows the area well and is able to quickly adapt when the fish aren’t cooperating.

We felt like we had a fishing trip, comedy show, sightseeing cruise, dolphin tour and boat ride all in one.  We’ll definitely book with Captain Froggy again when we return to OBX.

This is the second year in a row that we fished with Captain Froggy and would highly recommend.  Last year and this year we came back with more fish we could eat that night and needed to freeze it for later.  He knows where the fish are and which ones are biting.  When other charters are coming back with one or two fish, we came back with 5 large Red Drum fishies.  He was great with our 7 year old grand daughter.  He has great stories to tell and was a fantastic host.  Thanks for a great trip!

I don’t know what to say about Captain Froggy that hasn’t already been said. He is nothing short of spectacular and his first mate, John, was truly first class. The weather on our trip was terrible, but they made our experience one that we, especially our 7 year old son, will never ever forget. They tried soooo hard to get us on some fish, but nothing was biting. The care they showed us though will keep me and my family coming back for many years to come. Book this man with absolute confidence.
