Captain Kenneth comes thru even in bad weather

Captain Kenneth is everything you could ask for in a charter captain…he is flexible in scheduling, knows good spots to fish, and keeps the family engaged. Had to reschedule a spring trip to this Fall, and he found a small window of time during our trip when the rain would be spotty. While out on the water, Kenneth kept us away from squalls popping up all around and in calm waters. We caught a couple of big redfish, small black drum, bonnethead sharks, and then small fish to keep the kids busy. I knew fishing would be tough on a day like this, but Kenneth helped us make the best of it. When back at the dock, we had a chance to watch a mom/baby manatee, dolphins hunting in the river and a gator. I grew up fishing but dont get out much anymore in salt water. Heading out with Kenneth was like fishing with an old friend who is also very respectful of your family and can show everyone a good time. My teenagers enjoyed the experience and we would definitely fish with Kenneth again.

My wife and I had such a great time fishing with Beat the Oddz. We tried several different spots and styles of fishing from the jetty to offshore. Captain Kenneth did an amazing job of putting us on the fish and was a pleasure to be with. You could immediately tell he knows what hes doing and enjoys what he does. We caught some small sharks, barracuda, triggerfish and more snapper and sea bass than I can count. If we make it back down to Amelia Island we will book with him again.

We had an incredible family fishing trip today with Beat The Oddz hCharters in Fernandina Beach! The conditions were definitely not in our favor, but Captain Kenny went above and beyond to make sure we still had a great experience. He worked hard, stayed patient, and kept moving us to the right spots until we were catching fish. You could tell he genuinely cared about making it a successful and memorable trip for our family. Professional, knowledgeable, and great with both adults and kids—Captain Kenny turned what could have been a tough day into a fun and rewarding one. Highly recommend Beat The Oddz Charters. We’ll definitely be back!

Our fishing trip out of Fernandina Beach, Florida with Captain Kenny was nothing short of incredible. From the moment we arrived, everything ran smoothly—he was right on time, fully prepared, and ready to make sure we had a great day on the water. Captain Kenny truly stands out as a professional. His knowledge of the area and fishing techniques was obvious right away, and he took the time to explain everything in a way that was easy to understand. Whether you’re experienced or brand new to fishing, he makes you feel comfortable and confident. What really made the trip special was how kid-friendly and patient he was. He made sure everyone was involved, kept things fun, and was always encouraging. You could tell he genuinely enjoys what he does and cares about his guests having a great experience. And the fishing did not disappoint—we landed three black drum along with a variety of other fish, making it an exciting and successful trip for everyone on board. Captain Kenny was so easy going and put us on the fish right way. When waves got rough, he moved us to a more calm area where fish were biting. We caught tarpoon, seabass, jack & drums. The whole family had fun.
