Did a full day trip with 5 guys out of Los Suenos.  Got out to the fishihing grounds, trolled for about 45 minutes and hooked up a double but only brought one very nice sailfish to the boat.  A bit later, landed a nice sail fish, and not long after that another sail with a couple others that broke off.  Total for the morning 4 hookups, 2 landed.  It was slow toward late morning and early aft but we were kept busy with food and a BEAUTIFUL, sunny ocean day.  Things picked up in the aft with 4 more on the lines and landing 3. Total for the day, 8 hookups, 5 landed and the largest gust an inch short of 10 feet.  I’ve fished here before and have had decent outings, but this was truly epic.  Capt No-no, Alejandro and Andre were a great crew and worked hard to get us on the did… which they did.  Great job guys!

This is hands down the best charter experience I have had anywhere in the world. The crew was extremely friendly towards me and my family as well as knowledgeable about the fish we were targeting. They prepared us fresh fruit and other snacks as well as lunch all while never breaking stride from fishing. They made sure we were able to land a couple nice sailfish just as we set out to do. I highly recommend this to any avid fisherman or even a family with small children just looking for an amazing day on the water!

The boat was good, and the crew was one of the best I have ever worked with. However, booking this charter had serious downsides.
1) Weirdly and almost insultingly, the Captain insisted on payment up front. (I have never experienced that).
2) The owner never informed us that we needed a Costa Rica fishing license. (Who knew).
3) Directions to his boat’s location were slipshod at best. The boat was berthed at a huge marina, and we had lost 30 minutes trying to find it. Additionally, we never received the boat’s name, which made it harder to find (we did have a slip number for what it was worth).
4) Our group took the boat for two days (Two crews of four men per day). Our first-day crew had an exceptional day, and the Captain spoke to our guys and said he thought the tip should be 25%. RUDE.
5) The charter is overpriced (I thought the $2,300 price was for the two days I booked). As it turns out, he charges $2,300 a day. Compare this with North Carolina ($1,600), the Bahamas ($1,500), Florida ($1,500), and the Dominican Republic ($1,200). This charter is clearly overpriced.

I have been fishing my entire life and my wife and I have taken fishing charters for 15 years. It’s hard to find a crew that work as hard as this captain and crew will to fulfill your request.  They went above and beyond. Any boat can put you on fish but most won’t rig the equipment to catch a specific type. Honestly, hard work and professionalism is a hard thing to find on most fishing charters!

My group of six men landed 7 sailfish and two Marlin. We travel around North America to fish, this was our best single-day experience.  The crew was very experienced and professional.  The boat, Dream Works, is an exceptional fishing machine.
