Captain Mike Dates was incredible it was our second time being taken out by him and it was awesome. We caught bait fish searched for fish caught a few different species then spent the last hour fighting a shark. The fishing was hard because of the weather but the Captain kept trying different ways to get us on something we had an amazing time and will be coming back again and continuing our fishing with First Shot!

Had a blast. If you are taking kids Captain Mike is your guy. He is passionate about getting them hooked up. To quote him he said “Get them hooked on fishing and you wont have to worry about them getting hooked on anything else”. Great family atmosphere. Enjoyed the fishing and fellowship.

Weather was an obstacle on the trip but captain Mike did a great job and we still caught fish. Great job by captain Mike. I appreciate everything!

My son got sea sick half way into the 4 hour trip. We were catching fish but he couldn’t be so far out at sea anymore . The captain took us to the harbor area with clam water and my son came out of it and we finished with a nice batch of fish. He was good at changing plans and make the best of it.

Mike is a genuine, honest, knowledgeable guy that put us on fish immediately. Pretty much every drop of the bait was a catch! Had a blast from the get go. Nice boat and setup, everything was in order, just a fantastic afternoon trip. Ended the trip with a 40 min fight getting in a trophy Cobia! Can’t say enough good about First Shot Charter!
