The highlight of our trip was when my son hooked a remarkable 5-foot hammerhead and a 6-foot lemon shark! Both fish put up an incredible fight, but thanks to Jonathan’s expert guidance, my son successfully reeled them in. It was a thrilling experience that we will cherish forever.

My brother and I recently went on a fishing charter with Captain Jonathan of Red Snarpon Charters, and it was an incredible experience! We spent the day fishing in beautiful waters and managed to catch a fantastic variety of fish, including snook, ladyfish, sea trout, a Goliath grouper (caught and released per local laws), and two impressive sharks over 100 pounds each.

Captain Jonathan was knowledgeable and passionate, ensuring we had the best chances of success throughout the day. With almost 50 fish caught in total, it was a thrilling and rewarding adventure. In town on vacation and wanted to take my girlfriend out for a 4 hour trip. I like to fish, but I thought she would just want to be in the sun. Captain jon was very patient, got her comfortable fishing, and she even caught the biggest fish of us both! A nice red!
The boat was super clean, and the rods/reels were very nice. Nicer than my setups back at home being honest. It was a hard day to fish, and was super windy. After bouncing to the second spot we were on fire. Jon took us to 4 or 5 spots in total and all but the first one produced. Jon was up front that the conditions were bad, and even pushed our start (and finish) time back a couple hours to give the tide more time to rise. I appreciated that his focus was getting us on fish and not just booking another time slot in his schedule. Also appreciated his friendly attitude genuine personality; it felt like we were fishing with one of our friends.
Ended up taking home a few snapper and a red. In total between my girlfriend and I we caught ~14 mangrove snapper, 5 snook, 2 reds, a pin (I think?), and 5 sheepshead. Jon, having been a chef for many years, filleted the keepers perfectly for us. Can’t say enough good things about our experience. He’s the type of guy I want to give our business to, and will certainly do so next time we visit. Thanks Jon!!!
