My husband and I love to fish and decided to book a charter during our Honeymoon in Cartagena. I’m SO glad we decided to go with this tour from Bomba Tours. We had the absolute best day - Trevor, Heather, Jason and the team were great, and so fun to hang out with. They had everything ready for the day - snacks, water, juice, beer - and gear ready to go. We went out and started trolling, and immediately hit 2 tuna! Then we spent the rest of the day deep dropping for snapper, and got a bunch! After we got back for the day, they prepared the fish and cooked it up for us right there onsite - we got to try fresh ceviche with the snapper, fresh sashimi with the tuna, and whole fried snapper. Overall, it was an incredible day and experience, and we’re so grateful to their team!

We had an amazing fishing day tour in Cartagena with Trevor and Holly. It was honestly one of the highlights of our trip. From the moment we arrived, Trevor made us feel right at home. He’s not only super knowledgeable about the area and fishing, but also a genuinely great host.

We went out with him and caught tuna and a few other types of fish which was amazing. After the catch, we brought the fish back to Trevor’s camp and cooked it right there. We did some Tuna sashimi and white fish ceviche! The food was incredible fresh, and flavorful.

To top it all off, Trevor surprised us with a fun bike ride around the Island, giving us a more local and off-the-beaten-path experience of Cartagena. It was beyond just a tour and it felt like spending the day with a good friend who really knows how to show you the best of the cartagena.

Highly recommend this to anyone visiting Cartagena.

Trevor and Holly went above and beyond with their unlimited hospitality.  These pictures are only a few of the successful catches.  We spent four full days on “Prime Time”, battling rough waters (it was the Windy Season as Trevor had warned),  his boat conquered them with ease.  Multiple species were caught with the “deep drop” technique which Captain Trevor has mastered.  I lost a near 100lb Grouper within a few feet of the boat (my fault!...)
Take the time to socialize with the local Islanders. They are incredibly grateful and informative to talk to, coupled with their generosity.
One of the days was too windy so we did a complimentary ATV for nearly six hours- this is a great way to experience the TRUE COLUMBIA!  Take advantage of the River Tours- several exotic birds and monkeys were witnessed.
Their newly modernized accommodations are top notch and allow for a relaxing soak in their pool.  Fyi- best sleep ever- the beds are sooo comfortable- many thanks Trevor!
I have vast fishing experience with many other Outfitters and would rank Get Tight among the top.  Enjoy the Ceviche!  Dave R.

Captain Trevor and Holly were very accommodating from arranging Uber for us from our air bnb to providing tasty sandwiches snacks and beer/ water/soda on boat. In addition we were treated to shark ceviche ( outstanding!) from their big catch a day before… grouper, snapper and 3 sharks. Offered us a full refund for not catching fish and went spent afternoon and early evening on ATV’s , steam sauna and pool. Great place for a true adventure when they finish their lodging facility for the adventure some . One son state that is where he will do his bachelor party when he gets married.

I went deep drop fishing with my son and brother while visiting Cartagena for my wife’s 50th.  I found Get Tight Fishing online based on the many positive reviews so decided to give them a try, especially as it was all of our first time fishing in the Caribbean.  I reached out over email at first but then communicated directly with Holly over WhatsApp.  I scheduled the pick-up with Captain Trevor at the resort we were staying at in Baru and we traveled out a good 45m-1hr to a spot he had fished before. 

This spot did not disappoint.

On the first drop we were getting hits left and right, but weren’t able to haul one in.  After re-baiting the lines and going for a second drop, we nailed a queen snapper in no time at all, and from there on we were landing hit after hit.  We hauled in a number of sizable groups and a host of other varieties - so many fish in fact that we ran out of room on the boat.  After this, we headed back to their home base where some of their local helpers cleaned up the fish for us so we could bring it back to the resort later.  Trevor setup a steam bath for us and we jumped in their pool to cool off.

After having some fresh ceviche Trevor took us to a snorkeling spot that was around the corner from our resort and we managed to see many different small fish varieties and some corals.  This was a really nice way to end the day.  There was no time pressure to fit everything in within 6 hours and we could really take our time exploring.

Needless to day, all 3 of us had a blast and I would definitely do it again next time I am in Baru with my family.  I highly recommend to anyone considering.
