Born and raised in Panama City, Florida, I developed a passion for fishing at the age of 14. By the age of 16, I began charter fishing and have been captivated by it ever since. As a relaxed individual, my aim is to create a fun yet safe environment for everyone on board. One of the highlights of operating a charter boat is the opportunity to meet customers from all over the globe, engage in conversations, and provide them with unforgettable fishing experiences.

    Be fed, hydrated, and ready to work

    4 Hour – Bay Trip • 6 adults

    I'll spare all the puff from a normal review and just tell you that it's a full time job catching (not just fishing) with Ben. From the 1st drop till freezer was full, we caught quality fish. He catered to a gew special requests we had and made sure our group of 5 would have to argue who's arm was most capable to drive home. . We will 100% come again soon!

    4 Hour – Bay Trip • 4 adults

    Fished with Benji on 5/27/2026. My family and I had a great time. Benji was great with communication especially since we had to push the trip back a few hours due to rain and weather. Caught our target species. Boat was clean and ran great! I would recommend anybody to fish with Benji.

    Great trip!

    6 Hour – Offshore Fishing Trip • 4 adults

    We had a few slow spots but still had a good haul overall and some good size fish. Great time and Benji was an exceptional Captain.

    Captain Benji knows his craft very well and works hard the whole time. He put us on fish and as soon as the bait hit the bottom they were fighting over it. He kept up with all of us bouncing from one to another. Great captain. Great rig. Awesome day!! James

    Captain Benji was personable, knowledgeable, funny, attentive… all the things you’re looking for on a fish trip. We caught some fish, had some laughs, and made a new friend with Benji. Looking forward to next year. we will definitely be calling him again!

    Benji was great. Caught a lot of groupers, all of them just under the minimum size to harvest. It was a great time out in the Gulf and in the bay. My 7 year old son had a great time.

    Had a great time out on the boat. We did an 8 hour trip and it was perfect. Captain was a really nice guy and let us go for what we wanted to catch. We caught our limit on snappers quick and caught all different kinds of fish. Would 100% recommend for anyone wanting a captain with good experience and to have a good time with

    We had a great catch and caught our limit in vermillion snapper. After we hit our limit we went and caught some bigger fish for fun and pics and had a great day! Captain was great at keeping up with taking fish off, baiting hooks, and we had him running like crazy once he took us to a great spot with snapper. Great energy and enthusiasm. He was great with entertainment and catching fish! Would def be back!

What's biting with Better Dayz Fishing Charter in Panama City

Not only is it too choppy to head offshore, but the pelagics start leaving. It's a good thing that Flounder, Trout, Redfish, and Sheepshead are all on offer in the bays, so settle in for a peaceful day of fishing.
