We had a day fishing trip with Shant to Catalina as a family with my partner, and two boys 9 and 11.  Had a great time, Shant was very welcoming, helpful and great with our kids throughout the trip.  We stopped over at the island for lunch, did more fishing in the afternoon before heading back. Had an amazing last minute trip where we didn’t expect much but to spend the day fishing and maybe catch some fish in this transitional time of year for fishing in CA! Shant is a great captain and a great guy who made it a priority to find fish!! Came away with an ice chest full of fish and great day overall! Would highly recommend Shant for any trips from beginners to experienced fisherman!

I’ve been on many larger fishing trips with 25 plus fisherman boats but this time we kept it to just our 4 man party. Paid a lot more money but The Captain made it well worth every penny. Captain Melkonyan was absolutely awesome. Very knowledgeable and welcoming. Very friendly and made us all feel welcome. If you’ve been considering it, just do it. We made this a Catalina fishing trip, next one will be a tuna expedition. Thank you Captain !!
