The Captain was knowledgeable. The first mate was young but knowledgeable for his age and worked great at helping with my two daughters. My kids had a blast and we caught a lot of fish and already ate them. I even got to fight a shark. Took a 4 hour morning trip with my daughter, son in law and grandsons. Capt. Braden and mate Bryson put us on the mangrove snapper on the very first spot!! Had our limit very quickly. We caught 2 Goliath groupers, a Gag grouper and even got a catch on a Tarpon!! We moved to another spot, caught some trout and my grandson had a successful battle with a Sharpnose shark. My boys (8 and 12) were dying to fish during our Florida trip like they usually do with their Dad, Pappy and uncle. Unfortunately none of them were on this trip but they still begged to go! We had a wonderful time with Captain Cook! We took our three young boys for a 2hr trip. He was very patient with us (we’re quite inexperienced fishing) and great with the kids! Bonus—we walked away with 9 mangrove snappers. Strongly recommend, very knowledgeable, kid & inexperienced friendly.
