In Tampa Bay, live bait is critical inshore. Anglers use a mixture of sardines, pinfish, and herring, sometimes freelined and sometimes under popping corks. Captain Garrett fishes for everything from Snook and Redfish in the backwaters to Snapper, Grouper, and Hogfish nearshore. Tarpon in the summertime is his true passion and he never passes up an opportunity to see the Silver King take flight.
