Capital Burke and Deck Hand Logan delivered on my goal to catch & release a spectacular Kona Blue Marlin.  The overall experience was most relaxed and comfortable and a well maintained boat with top tackle, rods and reels which shows their serious dedication. Family of 5 of us fished with on The Skillet with Captain John and Crew, Dave, including three generations of women, boy/girl twins, and ages ranging from 15 to 74. We caught 2 Mahi Mahi and one stripped blue marlin during our 6-hour trip. Both Dave and Captain John were great and made the lulls between bights go quickly with great conversation. Captian John was fantastic through the whole afternoon.  It was our first time deep sea fishing and himself and his helper walked us through everything and made us feel comfortable with the equipment and process. Unfortunately for us it was a tough day on the water but Captian John did everything he could together us on fish, we did get hooked up on a shortbilled spearfish, but it spit the hook before landing. This vessel is first rate. Great skipper, and great deck hand. We caught a once in a lifetime fish but that was the icing on the cake. We had an awesome day with very knowledgeable anglers. If you’re going, go the full day and give yourself the best opportunity possible. There are big fish here and these guys know how to find them. 10/10.

We only caught one fish because the ocean current kept changing. However,  Dave and the captain kept the trip interesting the whole time with good conversation and beautiful weather you can’t really go wrong. They filet our fish for us and gave us a hefty amount. All in all worth the money spent. We thought about doing another trip the following day because we really enjoyed ourselves. Do yourself the favor and just book it already. Don’t hesitate its worth the investment.
