- I have been boating and fishing on the eastern end of Long Island Sound over 30 years. Having summers off from my teaching job has allowed me to experience the quiet waters during weekdays without most of the weekend amateurs.
- Techniques
- Live-lining bunker has produced awesome results with striped bass. When the Bunker migrate in as the water warms, 'snagging' a few of these live 10' baitfish usually takes only a little while. Sunrise is when the stripers are most active. Casting surface poppers near structure can be quite exciting as well. Bottom fishing for Scup and Black Sea bass often produces an interesting bi-catch of Sea Robbins, Sand Sharks and Fluke.
