My intent in booking a trip was to get my longtime friend, who was visiting from out of town, back on Lake Murray for stripers, like we did 40 years ago. Captain Chris was exceptionally accommodating, by picking us up at our dock, and right on time, even though his normal ramp was not available.
He made exceptionally quick work of getting us up the lake to where he knew there to be fish and ran a plethora of lines over several fish groups, but to no availโฆ they would not bite, despite the intense volumes showing up on the multi-screen displays. He was knowledgeable enough to know when or if to bring a bait in and we had good condition, bait fish in the water, without tangles for a maximum amount of timeโฆ just no bites.
He really put a lot of effort into trying to get us some fish in the boat, but as we all know, it dont happen every time, but still utmost of a VERY good trip, overall and looking forward to trying it with him, again, in October, since he backs his work by a no-catch policy, at no additional costs. I really didnt expect that , but he was insistent.
I really look forward to October, when my buddy will be back in town and we can make some more great memories with Capt. Chris!
