Hello, my name is Captain Dustin McGill. I am a born and raised Mississippi native here on the Emerald Gulf Coast. I have been fishing the Gulf Coast my entire life and have been in the guiding business for the last 13 years. I started out with my mentor and teacher Captain Ron Harmon at the shipyard, working on our fleet boats, before I became a deckhand. I spent 5 years as a deckhand before proceeding on to Captains School. It has now been 8 years since I started guiding professionally. When I was younger, I used to go on charters all the time with my parents, watching the deckhand, wanting to do what they did. Little did I know that one day I would! Gulfport Fishing Charters is dedicated to your safety and to making sure your trip is as fun and memorable as possible.     great trip, great memories

    We caught an incredible variety of fish, including redfish, crevalle jack, stingrays, speckled trout, and even catfish. The deckhand was friendly, knowledgeable, and professional, making the trip enjoyable from start to finish. The captain did an excellent job consistently putting us on fish and kept everyone entertained throughout the day. If we make it back to the area, he's absolutely the captain we'd want to fish with again. We have nothing but wonderful things to say about this experience and highly recommend this charter!

    Can’t say enough good things about our charter today. From start to finish, the crew was friendly, helpful, and completely on top of their game. You can tell they have tons of local experience—they put us right on the fish and shared great insights about the local species and area while we reeled them in. It was a incredible experience, and I'd highly recommend them to anyone looking for a fun day of fishing. Will definitely book again!

    Great Time, Great Fish, Great Crew

    I booked a trip for myself along with grandpa and a buddy. Captain Dustin was kind enough to call before our trip to ask if we wanted to reschedule or receive a refund due to a string of bad luck on the water. I declined and I am glad I did. We hooked on to some quality fish and had a blast. The crew members were knowledgeable, respectful, and fun! I would highly recommend booking a trip with these fellows an I plan to go out with them again in the future.

    Awesome fishing trip!

    I planned this trip with my son, granddaughter and cousin for my birthday. We had an awesome time. Captain Dustin was great, he knew right where to take us to catch fish. We left a little early to get to the spot first and had our limit of slot reds by 6:30. After that we went out to catch some sharks. It was a great birthday. We have fished with Captain Dustin several times and he is always great. We are already thinking about the next trip.

    Best fishing trip ever!

    6 HOUR TRIP MORNING • 5 adults • 1 child

    As soon as we got started, we landed three massive Jack Crevalles, shortly after that we caught a bull shark and a black tip shark both about 5 feet in length. And we trolled for a while and caught plenty of Spanish mackerel and then we hit the jackpot and we had four huge bull Redfish on. The captain and first mate were awesome and this was one of the most productive productive fishing trips I’ve ever been on with my two boys and wife.

They wanted sharks so we did SHARKS! Arrived at our first spot and hit then right off the bat catching our limit in less than 10 minutes! Talk about action! From there we went in the hunt for redfish and jacks and it did not taje long before we found them! Talk ablut a great trip!

Left bright and early to beat the rest of the boats to the honey hole and it paid off! Caught a mess of sheepshead only a few hours! March is the best time of the year for us to catch and target these delicious fish!

Yet another morning of great fishing! The fishing is slowly starting transition into a mixture of bottom fishing and trolling mixed together. Bottom fishing the first part of the mornjng until the heat starts setting in then off to trolling to turn on the AC! Fishing has been great! Dont miss out!

Big Fish SLAM!!! ?

Started off the morning as we usually do leaving at 6AM. Got to our first fishing spot where we had been catching our fish for the last few trips with little luck. Was able to box one big finetooth as well as another spinner shark to get the ice dirty. After adequate time fishing our first spot I decided it was time for our next destination. Covered a few miles of water till i saw a good school of bait and we stopped in it and caught all the sharks you could want! Once we finished with our likit of sharks we went off to start trolling for redfish and jacks. It didnt take long before we found them! Another beautiful day on the water!

Started the morning off early as we always do depart the dock at 6. They always say the early bird gets the worm. Well thats just what we did! This time of the year is our favorite because the ride time is low and the fishing time is high! We had our limit of redfish before 7 not to mention our toothy critters as well! We had plenty of throw backs and got to bring some good fish home!
