I recently had the pleasure of experiencing a trip with Family Tradition Charters, and I can’t say enough good things about Captain Darral and his first mate. They were both amazing people who truly went above and beyond to ensure we had a fantastic time out in the Gulf. Not only did they make sure we caught plenty of fish, but their knowledge and expertise made the entire trip enjoyable and educational. Their friendly and professional demeanor made us feel welcome and well taken care of from start to finish. I highly recommend Family Tradition Charters to anyone looking for a memorable and successful fishing adventure!

So let me start off by saying I have been on several charters in PCB and this is hands down the best! From the moment I booked until we got on the boat the professionalism and communication was on point! We had originally booked for a 6hr trip and due to bad weather we were unable to go on that one so they put me and my wife on a 8hr charter at no extra charge.

I told them at booking I really wanted to target red snapper and boy did they put us on them. My wife and I bagged out very quickly and I was able to catch some HUGE Gag Grouper. The trip was absolutely amazing! We will only use them from now on. Thank you to Capt. Nick Joe and Chops, y’all made the trip an absolute blast!

Used Family Tradition in 2022 and had an awesome experience!  Used again July 1st, 2024 and another fantastic experience!  Myself and my youngest got sea sick on this 2nd trip.  This was a non-issue the first time.  Crew checked on me and youngest throughout the trip, all the while tending to all the charters and making sure they were catching fish.  My oldest son and future son in law tore it up fishing.  Captain found the hot spots and crew helped with teaching the baiting, proper casting & reeling.  This ensured great success for them and rest of the charters.  When we go deep sea fishing again in this area, we will be using Family Traditions!  Great teachers and patience with the young charters, and those inexperienced and appropriate freedom for the experienced charters.  Captain took us to all the hot spots.  Great crew and great experience!

The current was absolutely horrible & most of the boat were greenhorns but Chops and Joe were fantastic staying patient and keeping everyone in the water for maximum fish time. Skipper worked hard as well. The family had a great time and we caught a little bit of everything. Can’t wait to book a longer 10/12 hour trip. This crew is as good as I’ve seen in my 35 years of fishing in the gulf & this overall was the best trip I’ve had in 10 years. We will 100% be back!

My brother and I had a great time caught some nice fish. The crew were awesome and very good at their job. The boat was clean and the tackle was older but in really good condition. I highly recommend giving them a shot cause for what you pay they go above and beyond.
