- My name is Stafford Missick and I have been a Boat Captain for over 12 years but have been boating most of my adult life.I always loved the waters and considering I live on an island surrounded by water it only made sense to take full advantage of my surroundings.Additionally sea food is very expensive here and 90% of my diet comes from food out of the ocean.I am also able to supplement my income by this means.
- Techniques
- I implement most of the basic styles and techniques when fishing and depending on what weather conditions allow for on that particular day we may go trolling for Mahi, Wahoo,Mackerel and tuna.We use mostly balihoo with our personal preference of skirts.On some occasions live bait would also be used.We also deep drop for red snappers,pomfret and groupers.When weather is to rough for the ocean we like to come a bit inshore for bottom fishing to catch turbot,yellow tail snapper small groupers etc.
