Je recommande vivement Captain John Hoover. Malgré la barrière de la langue (je parle peu anglais) et des conditions météo difficiles ( beaucoup de vent), Captain John a été très professionnel et su répondre à mes attentes. En 4H de pêche, j’ai fait 4 prises dont un très beau Barracuda d’environ 8kg !! Magique !!
Le fait de privatiser le bateau et le guide pour moi seul a été une expérience unique et très enrichissante.
Il me tarde d’y revenir.

Had a windy day, John had a game plan from the start. He had places to keep us out of the waves all day. Caught monster snapper, and so many different type of fish I cant remember all their names. Even with the wind got very close to hooking two tarpon, and a big barracuda. It was my first time ocean fishing so a better angler would have hooked up I’m sure. Being new to the ocean he was very patient with me and explained everything. Very knowledgeable, and easy to get along with. Boat was very comfortable even considering the big waves. Next time I go fishing here it will be with John. Thanks for the great trip!

What a GREAT experience. I booked the full day trip, and got more than I ever could have hoped for. Like other reviews say, with John, you not only get a fishing trip, but you get knowledge about the area. He talked about the fish, the tides, the area, and even the birds. Very knowledgeable captain who truly cares about your experience and the local fisheries. I told John I wanted to catch big fish, that I didn’t care about eating anything. That’s exactly what he delivered. We caught sharks in the morning, then went for tarpon in the afternoon. The only reason there aren’t tarpon pics is my lack of skill in hooking them and bringing them in. John put me on them. We caught big fish, and were fishing almost the entire time… as opposed to deep sea trips where you spend two hours driving back and forth into the open ocean. I can’t recommend this boat and captain enough, and will be booking with him again soon!

It was our first time fishing the flats and backcountry of Key West.  Captain John knew where to and explained why he was going where we were going and how to fish in particular spots.  We were hoping for Tarpon but caught something even better.
Sight fishing in some flats, we spotted a small school of Bonefish.  Captain was probably more excited than we were and told my son exactly how to cast for them.  My son threw out the lure and got a hard hit first time!!  And could tell the Captain was proud because he was so excited for my son and went the extra mile in describing how delicate a Bonefish is and how it should be netted and released.  What a score!
I highly recommend Captain John if you want to fish with a guy who knows his fisheries and wants to teach as much as “do”
