Captain Gary Cannell has been fishing for 40 years, and for all that time, going after giant Bluefin Tuna is his passion. His biggest catch is a 1030 lb Bluefin Tuna, which just happened to set a new state record in New Jersey. Capt. Gary's guarantee is he will try very hard to put you on the fish and do everything in his power for you to have an amazing time. When not on the water, he spends his time in the woods of Massachusetts.

    Fishing Bluefin Tuna with Wicked Tuna’s Gary Capitan

    12 Hour Offshore Marathon • 1 adult

    Captain Gary and first mate Joe are very helpful and kind, they taught me some crucial skills fishing with tuna and sharks. And we caught a 150lbs bluefin tuna on this trip, which broke my record for bft. And the crew even said that usually they caught at least three times than this size. Capitan and first mate tried so hard to put me on a fish, thanks a lot!

    Full Day Trip with Gary & Paul

    Full Day Trip - Cod/Haddock • 4 adults

    Everyone on the boat limited out. Had one fish on hook that was bitten by a shark and was able to watch. One of our crew hooked the shark and fought it for about 1/2 hour. Would highly recommend Gary and Tuna Hunter.

    Great time in Gloucester, MA

    Full Day Trip - Cod/Haddock • 6 adults

    With 3 children and 3 adults we chartered with Tuna Hunter for Haddock fishing. After arriving at location we were quickly catchingt Haddock, Pollock, Cod and others. After a couple hours we decided to switch and see if we could catch some strippers. Captain Gary was very happy to comply with the request and we were quickly underway to catch the batefish. The children enjoyed catching Mackeral for bait, but catching the strippers required extreem effort on the part of Cpt. Gary's and his first mate, Ben. They both went beyond all expectations in acheiving the goal of ensuring everyone was catching at least one keeper, expecially the children. We cannot say enough as to how pleased we were with our choice of boat and crew for this first time charter for the family. Thanks to Cpt. Gary and Ben for a wonderful day on the water and making this family vacation special for all of us!!
