We booked last minute after another booking cancelled due to Hurricane Irma. And what a blessing in disguise! Captain Craig and Eric were professional, knowledgeable, and absolutely awesome. We caught a fair number of in season snapper, mackerel, and Bonita. Overall, will absolutely book with these guys again.

We had a great morning on the Tailraiser!! They warned us that it was pretty rough in the gulf and gave us the option of attempting it, trolling in the bay, or cancelling. We were warned that the fishing in the bay may not yield much. We opted to give it a try but it was way to rough so stuck to the bay. We caught some fish and had a great time. Craig and Andy were awesome!! We now have some great memories that will last a lifetime! We will definitely go out with these guys again next time we’re here.

There was a group of four of us. Craig was very flexible with us and even called the day before our scheduled trip to let us know the winds would be high and offered to take us out the next day when the weather forecast was better. We went ahead a rescheduled. Craig and Kyle were great! They are very knowledgable and super great guys! We had a great time, caught a lot of fish and they even cleaned them for us! I’d definitely recommend a charter trip with Tail Raiser!!!

My husband, my 3 boys 15, 17 & 20 and myself booked a private 4 hour trolling tour. We got there at 6:30 a.m. and we left almost immediately. We were a little disappointed that we had to take time out to go pick up the bait. The captain had heard about a place where there was a lot Mahi Mahi fish so he suggested we go there. We were excited and ready to catch our dinner. Unfortunately they weren’t really biting but we did manage to catch 2 small ones. We troll fished for the remainder of the time. We only managed to catch six and a half fish and only the 2 small ones were edible. My youngest son caught the barracuda that ate my other son’s fish. We realize it’s an ocean and the captain and first mate have no control over what is biting so we didn’t blame them. Craig and Kyle were great to talk to and they tried really hard to give us a good fishing experience so I would highly recommend booking with them.

I feel the captain should have been more direct in his recommendation. He asked what we wanted to do then simply told us not to expect too much then went on. Since we have a lake house we all really wanted to enjoy the day and catch some big fish but if he has been more direct we would probably have gone bottom fishing instead of trolling. Just as in any profession it is up to experts to recommend and if clients go against his recommendation it is their fault. As a result trip disappointing not because we didn’t catch as many fish as expected but because we weren’t advised appropriately especially since he knew it was not going to be a good a day

A very good experience dealing with this captain. We did not get to go out because of the weather, but there was great communication and prompt answers from the Captain. He le us know in plenty of time that it would be best to cancel the trip because of the weather. Also a quick refund of our deposit. I would use both this service and boat again.

We were originally booked for a Monday afternoon and the captain called me the day before warning of weather. We kept in constant contact and scheduled the trip for the best possible outcome - the captain didn’t just “check the box”. He Was focused on us catching fish fro the start. After I paid the balance due and was on the way back to the resort - he called my cell to say that I gave him too much money (it was actually intentional as a tip). How many people would actually call to say you have them too much money?? Highly recommend - good integrity. My 14 year old son caught a great King

My boys and I had a great trip with Capt. Craig and Kyle. Caught a ton of fish and my son got to fight a 40 lb King Mackerel until it broke off right at the boat, but he is still talking about it. The crew was great and very professional. We had just started to fish and started to catch fish when the raining moved in. The rain was ok, but it started lighting and one of the boats in the area was struck by lighting. The captain made the decision to head by to shore. Best idea of the day. When we go Back to the dock. The captain refunded our money. Thank captain you’re awesome. Next time in Panama City we will look you up for another trip!!

Our original tripbwas scheduled for sunday but we were inly a few hours in and a storm came rolling in. Ee had to cut the trip short but were able to reschedule it for tuesday. It ended up being a beautiful day even though we didnt catch what we hoped for we caught many others that were equally as exciting. Craig and Kyle were so helpful and just as excited as we were. These guys were great! We enjoyed everything about this trip. We had a great time fishing and caught enough fish for a banquet that night. The guys were very friendly and made us feel right at home. They even made the ride in and out enjoyable with their stories and comical behavior. I’ve already given out their card to everyone I know headed to Panama this year. I highly recommend this charter to anyone that’s considering doing a little off-shore fishing. You won’t be disappointed.

Definitely a trip to remember! It was my first time out and my first fish was a GIANT red snapper! Captain Craig and Kyle were great teachers as well as “cheerleaders”! Didn’t limit out but it sure wasn’t due to lack of effort! We had several good bites that we just couldn’t get on board. I think had we not been a little late getting to the boat and had scheduled a few more hours we would’ve caught more than we could’ve kept! Had a great time and can’t wait to go out again! I think I just might be hooked on this whole fishing thing! Thanks once again for a great time guys!

Photos don’t do justice to the wonders that you see and feel when you’re surrounded by God’s creations. The captain was was extremely helpful in all regards before and after the trip and his first mate Gilligan I mean Kyle was/is his equal. We caught plenty…. had a great time and arrived alive.We’re going out with them again and there’s not a thing I’d change in hindsight.I’d say wuth confidence that they are all they portray to be with ethics above reproach.

We went on a 12 hour trip and had a great time. I’ve been out on a few different charters in Panama City and this was by far the best one I’ve been on. Craig had us on fish the entire trip and Kyle made sure we always had bait on our hooks. Great experience. Would definitely recommend Tail Raiser charters and will be looking to book another fishing trip with them the next time I’m in Panama City.

To start out it was 3-5ft swells all day, not perfect fishing conditions. The boat captain kept us set up the wrecks were we all was catching fish. The captain and deck hand explained exactly what We needed to do for a better hook up ratio. We caught a lot of fish with very little down time. The captain kept us set up even with rough water conditions. The deck hand kept our hooks baited and fish on ice along with some tangles taken of. We brought home a 30lb king mackerel alone with 50 other keeper fish. I wouldn’t be afraid to say between the 6 of us we caught around 200 fish. We will be using the tail raiser charters on our next trip.

I could not have been happier fishing with Craig and Kyle. Craig kept us over the fish all day and Kyle made sure to clear our catch as well as keeping bait on our hooks all day. Craig even asked if we had plans after our charter because he was not busy after us and kept us our for an additional hr at no extra charge. Kyle even had a couple of suggestions for restaurants that would cook our fish. We opted for C-Level and we were not disappointed. $8/person and they fried, blackened and grilled our catch. Just wanted to say thank you again to Captain Craig and Kyle for the MOST EXCELLENT fishing trip! All of us enjoyed ourselves immensely, both the boat ride (beautiful boat!) and the fishing, and caught loads of fish. The majority of us have never experienced ocean (gulf) fishing before, so we were all happy with the action (let’s just say there were some sore arms and shoulders for a few days after). We were provided with fishing tips and encouragement throughout, and we were never want for bait—always quick to load us back up. We also took the local advice and had a fish fry the following day (so awesome!), with plans for a few more here at home during the snow season. And I can’t wait to see how the stories get embellished this summer as we sit around the campfire at our cabin :), as well as watch the video once it’s edited. Good times! Great boat to start with. Add in the fact that Captain Craig put us on fish all day, we caught our limit of King Mackerel by trolling.
