Being born and raised on the Shores of Lake Erie has blessed me with the chance to spend thousands of hours out on this beautiful body of water I call Home. My walleye fishing obsession started as a young kid when my dad and uncles would take me out with them anytime the weather would permit, casting Golden Nuggets and Erie Dearies to bag our walleye. I was away from Lake Erie for four years as I followed in my father's footsteps, serving our country in the United States Army. During my Army years, I fished anytime and anywhere I got a chance. After my time in the Army, I headed back home to Lake Erie. Let's make this upcoming Lake Erie fishing trip the most memorable fishing trip ever!

Had two fellas from circleville ohio come in to try some walleye action. Manged to Pull 24 nice fish, trolling bandits and hitsticks 30/30 with 3oz and 30/20 with 3 Oz. Had to get them lures deep and slow 1.0-1.2 mph. We never held a straight line and done alot of turns and zig zags to fill the cooler full of fat fish. Lake Erie dominates!!!

We have run multiple trips out of huron and mazuriks in Marblehead with great catches every trip. The bite is getting better by the day. We no longer have to run offshore the dreaded 23 mile just to get into fish. Some days the fish run smaller and some days the fish run bigger but all in all we have been putting fish in the boat eveytrip unless mother nature with her winds decide to cancel us out for the day.

The bite on lake erie has been outstanding!! My last 10 trips or so have yielded limits every time. As long as the winds play nice, we are catching! Some days are absolutely fast and furiuos and others are a bit slow. Size ranges anywhere from 15inches to 26.5 inches. Im thinking this has been the best year in a long time for numbers of fish and multiple fish pushing the 8-9lb class. OUTSTANDING!!!! FISHERY!!!

We have been doing fantastic!! Limits of walleye almost daily. Yesterday afternoon was a little above average for the folks from Columbus. We made a run away from all the boat traffic and it paid off. Doug and Tina got to box a nice cooler of 20-24" walleye. The next few days are looking bad wind wise but it'll straighten back out.

Darci and her group of three came in from Michigan to fish the islands area. They all handled the waves well except for maybe one not so well. The winds were ripping from the north around 20mph making for a rough way to go. The first pass downwind on the west side yeiled 1. Made a move to the east side and boated 8 more before deciding to cut the trip short and head in. They were more than happy to have pulled the nine fish. 65bk on smithwick top 20's and hitsticks.

Was glad to have Lisa and Joe from Missouri onboard for the last two days. Day 1 didn't set well going into the 5 footers that were rolling out there, but we did manage a few absolute slobs for the one pass made. Day two was still a bit bumpy but nothing like day1. We filled the livewell full of fish ranging in size 20" to 30.5". Multiple fish O's!!!! And a ton of memories left the Great Lake Erie again!! Bandits 50 -60bk. Flashy. The winds have been dominating the big lake so far this year. Its tough battling those waves, but as long as we're on good numbers of fish, the bite is still strong. These walleye bite just as good when its rough out as they do when its calm. Its just plain tough on the anglers out there battling big waves but it does pay off most of the time.
