Fantastic guides for a fantastic experience!

Our guide, Wayne, and Tommy were the absolute best! It was a chilly morning and they even had a heater to make sure we stayed warm! We each caught a beautiful paddlefish within a short time. They continued to let us fish for other fish, offering us his famous sub sandwiches to munch on. Best fishing trip ever!

    WILL COME BACK!

Wayne and Tommy were so much fun!! We did the 8 hour trip and we caught a variety! We told them what we wanted to catch and they would tell us if it was a good idea or not. They joked with us and really enjoyed conversation with them. Super down to earth people!

This was my second trip with B & C in the last month! Such a fun experience — both times! We booked our first trip in April for my Dad’s Birthday and then within a week I got back on their schedule for a Mother’s Day Weekend trip with Mom! With Bob and Colton’s hospitality, knowledge and expertise — you’re going to catch fish and have fun doing it! The afternoon charters are great too, especially since we drove 5.5 hours round trip to use them! We will book again!

Paddlefish fishing targets one of North America’s most unusual freshwater game fish. Paddlefish are ancient, plankton-feeding giants with long, paddle-shaped snouts. Anglers chase them for their size, raw power, and the chance to land a true river trophy.

Because Paddlefish filter-feed, they rarely strike baits or lures. Most anglers target them by snagging, which means casting large weighted treble hooks and pulling steadily until the hook meets a fish. Strong rods, heavy line, and durable reels help handle deep current and big, fast runs.

A typical trip focuses on deep river channels, current seams, and areas below dams. Expect repeated casts, steady retrieves, and sudden, heavy hookups. Fights can be intense and very physical, so this suits anglers who enjoy a challenge. Wear eye protection and gloves, and dress for changing weather. Bring water, sun protection, and a camera. If harvest is allowed, plan clean, iced storage for fresh meat.

Rules for Paddlefish fishing vary widely and change often. Always check local fishing license and permit requirements before your trip. Confirm open seasons, legal methods, and any special tags or reporting. Review size or harvest rules, and know when catch-and-release is required. When in doubt, ask your captain or local authorities for current guidance.
