Sobre a pesca de Corrico

Trolling is a boat fishing technique that tows lures or bait behind a moving vessel. It helps you cover water fast, find active fish, and keep lines in the strike zone longer. It works in both freshwater and saltwater, from calm lakes to bluewater fishing.

Anglers use trolling to target fast, roaming game fish. Common saltwater targets include Mahi Mahi, Wahoo, Tuna, Sailfish, and Marlin. Nearshore and inshore waters can produce King Mackerel, Spanish Mackerel, Barracuda, Bluefish, and Striped Bass. Freshwater fans often chase Salmon, Trout, and Walleye.

The basics are simple. Set one or more lines behind the boat at different distances and depths. Run hard lures, spoons, or rigged natural baits. Adjust boat speed to match the lure and the species. Simple tools can help you reach depth and avoid tangles. An outrigger is a pole that spreads lines wide. A downrigger uses a weight and clip to hold a bait at a set depth. A planer is a device that pulls a lure deeper while you move.

A typical trip is steady and hands-on. The crew sets the spread, watches the rods, and keeps a clean pattern. When a rod bends and the drag screams, it is your turn to fight the fish. Trolling suits beginners, families, and seasoned anglers alike. Many charters provide tackle and bait, but bring sun protection, snacks, soft-soled shoes, and motion-sickness remedies if needed. Check trip details with your captain.

Before you go, review local rules. Check whether you need a fishing license or permit, and confirm open seasons, size limits, and bag limits for your target species. Regulations change, so verify current requirements with local authorities.
