Had an incredible time on our second trip with Black Flag Fishing OBX! Captain Lance is friendly, professional, and knows exactly where to find the fish. The boat is clean and comfortable. We had an unforgettable day on the water with Captain Lance and First Mate Fran!  Captain Lance made sure we were fully prepared and answered all questions prior to the trip.  From the moment we stepped on board, they made sure we all felt comfortable and knew what to expect.  Captain Lance knew all the great spots and was extremely knowable of the area and what kind of fishing we’d find in different spots. 

Thanks to Captain Lance and First Mate Fran’s expertise and patience, the boys were excited to reel in a beautiful drum and monster bluefish — their smiles said it all! They took the time to teach them proper technique and worked with the entire time, from cutting the bit to boating the fish. The boys learned so much more than just throwing a rod in the water.  They both picked up skills and memories they’ll carry with them for years to come. And First Mate Fran’s snackle box came in clutch!

Took the family out for a morning adventure with Captain Lance, my two grandkids had an absolute blast and even though we did not take a fish home they both had their first fish fight experience trying to reel in rays and even a big blue!  Captain Lance was awesome and made sure the entire time that we were having fun and customized the trip based on requests from my grandkids!  If you are anywhere in the outer banks and want to have an amazing fishing experience then go with Captain Lance at Black Flag fishing!!

We had blast celebrating my dad’s birthday on the black flag fishing boat!!!!

Captain Lance had us reeling in the big red drum creating memories we’ll never forget!….My 10 year son’s first fishing trip and he made sure to give him a day to remember.

Captain Lance was tremendous from the communication before our trip to the day on the boat. Will definitely take another trip with him on our next vacation.

My wife, two young (3 & 8) daughters, and brother-in-law and I went out with Captain Lance and Fran for a 3/4 day trip, and it was amazing!  They met us at the dock at Oregon Inlet, helped get everyone on board and off we went! 

The fishing was slow to start, but they were great with the kids, teaching them about everything we were seeing and helping them enjoy the morning! We ended up catching a couple of fish in the morning and then got to ride right next to a group of dolphin on the way back. My BIL was the big winner, catching some fish after noon, which was perfect for fish tacos for dinner that night!

It was the perfect day and they made it even better by Fran and Lance being so good with the kids. If you are looking for a family-friendly excursion with good people, this is the boat!

We are looking forward to coming back to the beach on our next vacation and booking them again!!
