The Highlight of our Greek Island Trip!!

5 Hour Trip (PM)7 adults1 child

This was an amazing tour due to Makis and Nikos. We were a family of 7 - grandparents, 3 adult children and 2 grandchildren. It was so much nicer on a private boat and they catered to worked with our family. The grand-kids got to catch "small grouper", that they then cooked up for lunch on board. They prepared lunch while we swam in the hot springs of the volcano! Truly a lifetime experience! Well worth the money.

    Fantastic Experience

    We had a great time with Captain Makis. This was one of the most memorable fishing trips I’ve ever been on. We trolled next to the cliffs of Santorini and caught grouper all morning. Afterwards they parked the boat while we swam and they cooked us lunch. This was unlike any fishing trip I’ve ever been on in the United States. You’re not just fishing but you’re getting a day of fishing and being entertained on a boat. The boat is very clean and comfortable and the crew are very friendly. We were all adults in our group but I could see this being a great trip for a family with young kids.

    FISHING IN A VOLCANO

    I booked a solo fishing trip with Marcus of Pirate fishing and boat tours. Since I was solo I let them know I was just interested in fishing and not the normal trips he runs than included lunch and snorkle. We had a great time, We trolled divin swimming plugs with different lead on lines to fish around 40 feet, This is done along the edge of the volcano of 1600 feet. Wecaught Golden grouper and baraccuda. The trip was wprth just the scenery alone as we trolled around the entire island. Both Captain and mate were great with nonstop explaing everthing and history as Capt is a many generation fisherman of the area. Hihly recommend, was a great adventure

    This was our first time visiting Santorini and I’m so happy I booked Pirate Fishing Tours. Captain Makis and Eli were incredible. Captain Makis is born and raised in Santorini and known all over the island as the pirate. We could have listened to him talk for hours about his childhood growing up learning the fishing business with his father. Sent out at only 13 years old alone for 6 days on the open water on a small boat. our day was perfect. we caught grouper which he grilled right on the boat for us along with homemade tomato fritters, greek salad, and fresh bread. best meal we had by far! His custom fishing boat was so comfortable and also allowed us to sunbathe on the front tanning deck. we exllored along the volcono and even anchored in a small cove within the volcano to paddle board and swim while they cooked our meal. Of course the scenery was spectacular. We didn’t want our day to end. After only 5 hours we felt like they were family. if we get the chance to visit Santorini again we will definitely be booking Pirate Fishing tours again!

    Hands Down, This was the Best Day on Santorini

    I was raised fishing off the coast of Massachusett, and charter fishing has been a staple of just about every memorable family vacation I’ve ever been on. Santorini is dope if you like the outdoors (hiking, beaching, etc.), but after three full days, you’ve probably seen most of the island, and if youre looking for something memorable, and low-impact, book this trip with this boat. Capt. Makis (a fourth generation fisherman of these waters) and 1st Mate llias are top notch fishermen, and make for brilliant company. The craft is clean, safe, and seaworthy. This is an ideal trip to take with an older parent, or adolescent (though book a transfer/driver to/from the harbor because the walk is straight up strenuous. We were lucky enough to catch a beautiful grouper which was later prepared for us on the deck of the boat and served to us for lunch. I was absolutely lovely. BOOK THE TRIP!

    The Best Experience in Santorini

    Captain Makis and Ilias were very pleasant to be on the boat with. They told us so much history about the island, Greece and their personal backstories. We started our morning trolling for fish alongside the caldera and landed a few nice Golden Groupers, which the crew cooked for us for lunch while we laid in the sun and went swimming/snorkeling in a little cove before heading back. It was the best fish meal we have ever had and everything was so fresh. I would highly recommend to anyone who is visting Santorini. It was our favorite part of our whole trip!
