Did a little scouting for trip to. Started about 120 south of the pier heads down to the Saddle and back. Nobody around us. Water temp moved since Sunday. Get out about 130 FOW and 50 degrees is about 65 down. It was 80 down in 110 FOW. We were 7-9 just targeting kings with spoons fishing from about 7:45-10. Did have one laker. No super small fish. Couple 3-5, couple 7-8 and couple double digits and laker was close to 10 as well. Standard Warrior Blue Dolphin at 60 went three times and Black Screwball twice at 50. Soda SS free slider with Screwball also had a hit. Moonshine Mongolian Beef off the high diver running at 65 feet on the ST took the largest king and the lake trout was on the other diver running down at 80 with MC Letner Eat. 300 cu with MS Bloody Nose had a small king hooked in the dorsal. All but one hit was from 9:10-9:45.

We had steady action this weekend out of Frankfort with a consistent mix of lake trout, scattered kings, and one standout steelhead to close things out. Most of our bites came working the Saddle toward the Point, with fish holding in 100–125 feet on the riggers and 200–300 feet on the divers. Lake trout were the most reliable all weekend, hitting Dreamweaver Whirly Gigs and Spin‑N‑Glo Sunshine behind 8" Spin Doctors. Kings were smaller but steady, taking Silver Streak Orange Crush, Moonshine Mongolian Beef, Carbon 14, and Bloody Nose on a mix of free sliders and short copper. Sunday evening produced the highlight fish — a bright steelhead on a Super Slim Beef Eater in the Sand Bowl. Very late June and early July can also produce excellent offshore Steelhead action when we get the warm, calm days needed for that pattern to set up. It’s one of our favorite trips of the season. Great action out of Frankfort this morning, solo. The lake finally settled after a week of wind, and the kings were ready to feed. We ran north from the harbor and found a solid early‑summer push of salmon in 120 feet of water. Went 5 for 5 on kings with a limit by 7:20 AM. The Black Screwball spoon was the hot setup, firing twice within the first minute of being in the water. Biggest fish of the morning was 18 pounds, a strong mid‑June king and a good sign for the season ahead. Conditions were 2’ or less with an ESE wind, and the bite was fast at first light. June dates are filling quickly — message the captain to book your trip.
