Fishing Report ? Inshore The redfish and snook bite has been pretty strong lately. Live shrimp, pinfish, and threadfins are all producing, especially around the outer islands on both incoming and outgoing tides. Trout are starting to move deeper, and artificial drift jigging has been one of the most productive methods. As long as the water is moving at the top or bottom of the tide, the bite has been turning on and off really well. Mangrove snapper, grunts, and even some hogfish are stacked up nicely on the shallower rock piles. Also, keep a sharp eye out for cobia cruising through. Offshore We’re ramped up for the upcoming snapper season, and the waters from 80–120 feet are where the action will be. Along with red snapper, you’ll find scamp grouper, lane snapper, and plenty of mangrove snapper.
