Jorge is a native of Río Lagartos and an experienced nature and sport fishing guide who knows the Río Lagartos Nature Reserve like the back of his hand. His passion for nature and sustainable sport fishing began at a young age, inspired by the knowledge and experiences passed down by his grandparents.

As a family business, Rio Lagartos Experience is dedicated to recreational nature and fishing services. The team regularly explores the reserve, helping them discover and access some of the area's best fishing spots while sharing their knowledge of the local environment and fishing traditions.

Mangrove Snapper, Great Barracuda, Crevalle Jack, Snook, Cobia, Amberjack, Permit, Speckled Trout, Tarpon, and more inhabit these waters, depending on conditions.

For these species, you're likely to troll using light tackle. Capt. Jorge also offers fly fishing, but you may need to bring your own fly-fishing gear.

You'll find yourself aboard a 23' boat with a capacity of 6 passengers. It has all the essentials, including a toilet on board for your convenience.

Rods and reels are not included in the charter, so ask the captain about bringing your own or renting them for an additional cost. Be sure to ask about bait and lures as well.

The charter covers your fishing license, so all you have to do is show up ready for a good time! Keep in mind that some fish may need to be released due to local regulations. Your captain will help you follow all applicable regulations while you fish.

Don't leave home without non-spray sunscreen, a hat, bottled water, and sunglasses. Drinks are included free of charge. Alcohol is allowed in moderation, but please avoid hard liquor and glass bottles. Food and light snacks will also be available on board.
