U zavisnosti od sezone, možete upecati Halibut, Lingcod, lososa, krabe i ko zna šta još! Tokom putovanja možete trolati, džigati, pecati pri dnu, ili nešto specifičnije za ovo područje.

Ako putujete sa porodicom, dobro je znati da su deca dobrodošla na brodu! Obavezno pitajte da li su dostupni prsluci za spasavanje za decu, u suprotnom ponesite svoje. I, ne možete pogrešiti ako ponesete grickalice da održite nivo energije!

Kapetan Gerald upravlja 21-stopnim Bayliner walkaround brodom sa kapacitetom za 3 putnika. Ima downrigger-e i svu neophodnu opremu bez koje ribarski brod ne može. Na brodu postoji toalet za vašu udobnost. Vaš kapetan će obezbediti štapove i mašinice, kao i mamce.

Pre ukrcavanja, moraćete da kupite lokalnu ribolovačku dozvolu za svakog člana vaše grupe. Ove informacije su obično dostupne onlajn, ili možete pitati kapetana. Neke vrste mogu biti zaštićene ili zahtevati posebnu markicu za zadržavanje, zato se uverite da znate šta možete očekivati.

Nikad nije loše poneti kremu za sunčanje (ne u spreju), flaširanu vodu i sunčane naočare. Alkohol je dozvoljen u umerenoj količini, sve dok izbegavate žestoka pića i staklene flaše.

Fun day at Sea

Gerald is very chill, accommodating, and dedicated captain in the field. He is very knowledgeable about sea and the local fish habits in the area and I enjoyed learning about them from him very much. The sea that day seemed very slow or even usual and all other boats around us were not catching anything. But he did not give up on us and tried every different spot and depth/gears to make sure we'd have a good time. And we got busy hooking salmons one after another in the end and we had a lot of fun landing that salmon rush! Thank you Gerald.

The Canada cup.

We spent 3.5 hours fishing with the very knowledgeable Captain Gérard. As we boarded he made it clear we should be ready to catch fish! This was no boast, we had 20 coho salmon in 3 hrs fishing, almost non stop action with only 2 people fishing. In addition the Captain is good company and creates a relaxed atmosphere on his boat. I will book this trip again as soon as I return to Nanaimo despite losing this round of the Canada cup. Thank you captain:)

Great day on the water

Gerald put us on the fish and worked hard the whole trip. He is very knowledgeable and was happy to share his knowledge with us. If you going to spend hours on a boat with a guide it’s best to be with someone that’s a pleasure to fish with. Gerald ticks all the boxes. Thanks Gerald…. Until next time ;)
