You're likely to go after Cobia, Redfish, Flounder, Sheepshead, Spanish Mackerel, Bluefish, and more, depending on the season. On these trips, you can expect to sight fish, troll and bottom fish using light tackle.
Families who love fishing together will be glad to know that kids are welcome aboard! If you don't have a child-sized life vest of your own, be sure to ask if there's one on board. You're welcome to bring snacks to keep their stamina going!
Your boat for the day is a 21' Carolina Skiff center console that can carry up to 4 passengers. It has all the essentials. Rods, reels, and tackle are provided, along with lures. Live bait is available, but you should ask the captain whether you'll be catching it yourself.
There's no need to buy a fishing license, so all you have to do is look forward to your trip! Some fish have special regulations, including when you can keep them. Your captain will help you follow regulations while you fish.
It's always wise to bring sunblock (non-spray), and sunglasses. Water will be available for you. Alcohol is allowed in moderation, but try to avoid hard liquor as well as glass bottles.

Last week we booked a charter to catch some red fish. Captain Preston contacted us about a possible time change to give us the best chance to catch fish. As we fished, Captain Preston had us fishing both strong and slow currents. We fished deep water and shallow water. We fished sandy bottom and structure. We fished still and we drifted. All to no avail. This captain did not pack it in. He worked with every thing he knew to find fish to the very end. My nephew and I still had a great experience even though neither the weather nor the fish cooperated. As we were leaving the pier, Captain Preston offered us some suggestions for surf fishing as well as bait selection.When I book another charter I will gladly book with Captain Preston. Randy Sterling
