If you're looking to fish Liberty Reservoir MD, look no further. Capt. Mark Trimble will do his best to put you on the fish.
I've been fishing Liberty Reservoir for over 35 years as it is my home Reservoir. 25 of those years have been on my own boat, targeting every species that swim in this beautiful Reservoir. This fishery has it all, grass, rocks, trees, brush piles, beaver dens, gravel banks, points, deep clear water, you name it.
We will be casting artifical lures to and around these structures targeting whatever species you have in mind. Light to med/heavy tackle spinning gear/baitcasters. Feel free to bring your favorite rods, which I recommend. Knowing your gear and comfort is a key to success.
Liberty Reservoir is popular for GIANT Largemouth Bass, Smallmouth Bass, GIANT Striped Bass, Crappie, White Perch, and more. Numerous state records have come from this Reservoir. Depending on the species you're after, you may find yourself spinning, trolling, jigging, or maybe something more specialized in this area. Capt. Mark also offers fly fishing, but you will need to supply all your gear including lures.
Your boat for the day is an 18' Lowe aluminum fishing boat with room for 2 passengers. It comes with all the essentials. Rods, reels, and tackle are provided, along with lures.
Before coming aboard, you're required to buy a local fishing license for everyone in your group. This information is usually available online, or you can ask the captain. Some species may be off limits, so make sure you know what to expect.
A few items to bring include sunglasses, sun-block, beverages of choice/bottled water, food/snacks, No Alcohol, cooler is provided on boat. Rain gear for inclement weather. If booking a trip in Nov/Dec have base layers and enough cold gear to get you through the duration of the trip. Hats, gloves, hand/toe warmers etc....

We had an amazing fishing trip with Mark! From the beginning, he was welcoming, professional, and extremely knowledgeable about the area. You can tell that he is genuinely passionate about fishing and works hard to make sure everyone has a great experience and stays on the fish. Mark was very patient, answered all of our questions, and shared helpful fishing tips and techniques throughout the trip. His equipment was excellent, and everything was well organized. We had a fantastic time and made some great memories. I highly recommend booking with Mark, whether you are an experienced fisherman or just getting started. We will definitely be returning!

While I really enjoyed my day on the water with Captain Mark, the lake water is just too warms for good fishing. The fish are not active at all.. We sat on a school and I used almost every lure and bait I had and a few from Mark. The fish are just not biting. Maybe in the fall when the water cool fishing will be better. When that happens I will book another trip with Captain Mark, my third with him.

Great day on the water . Fishing was tough but we had a few . You could not have asked for a better day Mark was very easy going and professional and his lnowledge of the reservoir was ommense . I would recommend Mark for a fishingbtrip anytime

Hello everyone my name is Capt. Mark Trimble. (USCG Licensed Captain) For over the past 30yrs I've been fishing bodies of water from Maryland to Florida including Reservoirs, Rivers, Inshore, Offshore, targeting multi-species with a variety of fishing techniques. From casting spinners to Trout in MD rivers, Jigging up Bass in local Reservoirs, Trolling for Giant Tuna off Ocean City Md to Flying Kites for Sailfish in the Blue waters of Jupiter Florida. I provide a hands on experience teaching and guiding you along the trip. Understanding the water, the equipment being used, presenting the lures to fish, to ultimately make you a better angler and catch fish. I strive on catching fish and I want to catch fish more then anyone. Being on the water is a blessing in itself but putting fish in the boat makes the day much more memorable. My goal most importantly is to be safe, CATCH FISH, and have FUN!!!!
