Around the Bend Fishing in beautiful Soldotna Alaska offers a one of a kind fishing experience for young and old.  Captain Sim and his twelve year old son Simmy are a father and son team that put you on fish and keep you laughing the whole day through.  They can accommodate up to five guest on board the power boat or up to 4 on the drift boat.
    They offer a 21' Willie Predator that uses a 50 HP Yamaha High Thrust motor with a maximum cruising speed of 40 knots to target Sockeye or Silvers on the Kenai River in July and August, or you can also take the drift boat if you are fishing the Kasilof river for Kings or Sockeye in June.
    There's a great selection of freshwater fish you can target on your journey. Salmon we target include Sockeye and Silver salmon. Also, you can catch and release Dolly Varden and Rainbow Trout. You and your guide will catch fish by fly fishing and spinning on light and heavy tackle. You can also sit back and enjoy pulling plugs for silver salmon.
    The captain will provide you with all the tackle, fly fishing gear, lures, as well as fish cleaning and filleting. Before you depart, just make sure you have your licenses, snacks, and drinks.
