Spend the day with Ron Doebler Fly Fishing Adventures getting to know the waters around Soldotna like never before.  A short walk down to the river will allow you to harvest sockeye salmon almost immediately with limits usually within 4 hours.

You won't have to travel far to fish these local waters, including some spots that only the locals know about.

Around here it's common to go fly fishing, which is how you'll get acquainted with these waters. You can also do a bit of spinning, and maybe more your guide wants to show you. Ron will provide rods and reels, as well as lures.

Around here the fishing is popular for Sockeye Salmon, and more if conditions are right.

Fish within regulations are yours to keep. Ron will even clean your catch for you so it's hassle-free when you get home. Flash freezing and vacuum packing service available for an additional fee but bring a cooler and ice!  Now that's a fresh meal! You're welcome to bring up to 10 anglers on this guided experience. You'll be fishing without a boat, so expect to make your way on foot at least part of the time and come dressed for current weather conditions.

Everyone in your group should buy a local fishing license ahead of time. You can find out more online, including exceptions that may apply. Plan to dress in layers and appropriate footwear (if you aren't sure what that means, just ask). It's never a bad idea to bring sunscreen, sunglasses, and bottled water in any weather conditions.

Ready to have the whole family unplug? Then you'll be glad to know that kids are more than welcome. Remember to ask if child-sized life vests are available; otherwise, you'll have to bring your own.
