A First Mate will be there to make sure everything is running smoothly. It's customary to tip the Mate 10–20% to show your appreciation.
You will need to purchase a local fishing license before the trip. This information is usually available online, or you can ask the captain. Some species may be off limits or require a special tag, so make sure you know what to expect.

It was an enjoyable time on the lake and we caught our limits for walleye. Mike was a good first mate and very helpful with information and our participation. We would book with Captain Dan again for sure.
